Online Society.. So stressful now!

Started blogging and visiting online forums many years ago. Around 2008, I think?

Although I have been blogging, I do it mainly because:
1. I like to write.
2. I like to take photos.
3. I want to remember special moments.

Especially for #3, I always enjoy reading back what the former me had written. And laughed at how childish / silly I was. And then compare to see how much I've grown, how happier I've become and how much I've changed (for the better, I HOPE!).

And I can't remember details well. So blogging enables me to search back and retrieve the information in case I want to replenish a particular good product, eat that nice dish which I had tried previously and so on~

So what has blogging got to do with visiting forum? Well, I didn't think there was much relevance until the other day I went to sign up as a member in this particular forum and had a rather bad experience.

Haven't frequent any forum for a long time because none are as happening as Sgclub or Sodabeta during their glorious days.. (Oh, I miss the good old days so much!) But recently I registered in a forum as I was looking for information / feedback on this particular item that I was interested in. Was surprised why there was NOTHING at all and it's a pretty well-known brand. Weird. (Well, I later found out why!)

While searching fruitlessly, I saw a thread which asked us to share our Groupon deals experiences so I went in to share an ultra traumatizing first-hand incident of mine. Ended off my post with a recommendation for Carragheen. (Only a few sentences though!) Didn't see anything wrong with it since it was common for forum people to share both good and bad stuff. Well, back in the PAST. (Is that what a forum is used for??)

Not long after, a few girls started commenting on my post and suspected that I cooked up a fake story to promote for Carragheen.

HUH? WHAT??

What's wrong with the online society nowadays? Suddenly I felt so out of touch and I didn't feel like going to the forum anymore. Very turned off! Just joined the forum and I was treated like a suspicious character! So absurd!

And then I saw Xiaxue's post: The Big Gushcloud Exposé

Whoa, sorry to be so out of touch! Apparently many bloggers are earning money by writing reviews and doing advertisements in their blogs! (Used to think only famous bloggers like Xiaxue and gang earn money from their blogs!)

No wonder those girls were so aggressive when I shared my experience in the forum!

Never like to fight (Libras love harmony and dislike conflicts!) so I sure hope my blog don't offend anyone! I enjoy sharing good lobangs because others can have the same products / services that I've personally tried and found them to be good. And I don't want others to go through the same nasty experience I had so I like to warn everyone by blogging about it.

Well, I've signed up for Nuffnang since 2008 and up to this date, I've only earned $38.78 which is not even enough to be cashed out! So I hope that this fact is enough to assure everyone that:

1. I am not out to earn unethical money. (If I do, I will have far more than that!)
2. I have a stable job and I don't rely on my blog for income. (If I do, I would have starved by now..)

Of course it'd be nice to earn some money from my blog. It always enhances the sense of satisfaction when your interests are able to generate extra income for you. But oh well, even if I don't earn (which I don't, after all these years), I still enjoy blogging! And I hope whoever reads my blog will feel happy / entertained / inspired as well! :)

Especially with how rigid the online forums have become.. I think I shall just comment, share my experiences, recommend / feedback about products and services in MY OWN BLOG.

Like that cannot scold me liao right! Hahaha!

Okay, enough ranting so I'm just gonna let it go.. Let it go~~ *Sings*
