FLUFFY IS A BOY!!!

Have announced Fluffy's true gender in Instagram and Facebook but I haven't blog about it.
Actually this draft had been sitting inside my "Drafts" for days but I never find the time to finish it.

So here goes..

Shocking Realization

The other day, I was giving Fluffy a thorough powder bath and I noticed..

..Testicles???

 WHAT??

OMG! Fluffy is actually a BOY!!

So Hurt..

Told my friend about Fluffy's gender and she teased me for being a bad owner because I got Fluffy's gender wrong. 

But the truth is, even the seller told me that Fluffy was a girl too!
So obviously it wasn't obvious that Fluffy was actually a boy!
And I don't blame her because I know it's really difficult to differentiate the genders for young rabbits.

Besides, Fluffy was only about 2 months old then! I did double check on his gender but there was.. eh..
Really nothing there yet leh!

And when I happily told them how much Fluffy loves head rubs and his cute reaction to my head rubs every time.. 

The same friend commented that he is stressed and yet I keep giving him head rubs.

Urgh.. My heart got wounded again!

(Or perhaps I am too fragile.. T.T)

But but..

Am I the kind of owner who can't tell if MY pet is stressed or happy??

Am I the kind of owner who enjoys torturing MY pet??

Whenever I give Fluffy head rubs, I can tell that he loves them so much.

I can also sense that he is happy and hence, I would feel happy with him as well. 

I treat them as my close ones, which is why I shared my precious experience with Fluffy with them. But yet..
Those happy and special bonding moments are perceived as causing stress to Fluffy!! :'(

Am I such a bad owner..?

At the end of the day.. I guess I need to believe in myself..

But whatever it is.. Honestly I still feel bad for not discovering Fluffy's correct gender earlier!
I guess that's why her words hurt me so much.. Kinda like adding salt to my wounds.

But seeing him happily munching on his food, enjoying the head rubs I give him and lazing there in contentment..
I wonder if I am just being silly and overly harsh on myself. He prolly don't even care about the gender blunder. :)

Sometimes I feel that animals are actually smarter than us because they know how to take things easy and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. ♥

Thank God for bringing Fluffy into my life..

Whenever I am stressed, angry or upset, just watching him can calm me down and make me smile again.

So lucky to have an adorable little darling like him!

Been feeling unwell due to the "Hagen Daz" (haze 跟 dust, lol) lately.

Suffering from runny nose, "itchy" throat, irritated eyes and even headaches!
I guess that is not surprising considering that I have sinus.. :(

While typing this entry, the PSI was..

Recently I discovered the existence of air purifiers! 

Omg, I can't believe that I was so ignorant..!! 

Even without the haze, I believe an air purifier is beneficial to me since I have sinus!

Plus I have Fluffy now and she stays in my room..
It'll be good to have a good air purifier that helps to collect her fur!
And with the haze seemingly getting worse these days, we need clean air!

Especially my dear little Fluffy! (Love this photo of her.. Haha!)

She's only 5 months old.. My vulnerable baby! #OverprotectiveOwner LOL!

Do You Know..
Small animals are even more susceptible to the effects of haze since their lungs' capacities are much smaller!

Many times, I was so tempted to just grab one from the store..
But on second thoughts, air purifiers are so expensive!
And I intend to use it for at least a few years if I do get one!

Since it's a long haze-full weekend.. I guess the most ideal activity for me is..

Whoa! I was quite shocked to realise this:

Don’t confuse the term “true HEPA” with “HEPA-type” when considering an air purifier. 

They are drastically different. 

Wah! This is so misleading!

Silently cursed unethical brands for wasting my time and efforts on checking up their products..
By misleading me with the term, "HEPA-type".. Grr!

But I'm glad that I knew this before I bought any! Thank God!

Finally I decided to get this!

Honeywell QuietCare True HEPA Air Purifier with Germ Reduction, 17000-S

Recommended by many users online!

Design isn't as pretty as the Novita one that I almost bought..

But I do believe this is better.

(废话 right! Otherwise, why would I order this instead.. Haha!)

Managed to get a good deal for it!

But alas, the transformer is out of stock so I can only get it next week!

So looking forward to receiving it!

Probably will do a review on this when I receive it!

Before the Actual Day of Event..

Last month, I saw this in Facebook and quickly RSVPed! 

Just 1 Fluffy alone already makes me so happy.. 

Not to mention an event full of rabbits and other small animals!! 

Woohoo~~♥

Saw this and decided to enrol Fluffy for the Best Dressed Contest as well!

Didn't expect to win anything at all..

Basically I joined for the sake of free goodie bag and free photography session! 

Wahaha.. Opps!

2 Days Before the Actual Day of Event.. What to Wear!

Fortunately I had bought this lion mane wig for Fluffy previously.

Didn't expect it to come in handy!

Trying out the costume and testing if it would fall off easily..

Well, it did fall off easily!

And something seemed not quite right..

(Later I went to search for photos of real lions and realized that the 'mane' part wasn't quite right!)

It was really very enjoyable!

She came with her family and they brought quite a few pets along!

Fluffy won 1st Prize in the Best Dress Contest!

WOW!

While being 'showcased', Fluffy was so obedient and stayed still most of the time!

Wow, I'm so proud of her for that! She really rose to the occasion.

(Was expecting her to be restless or perhaps, freak out and do weird stuff.)

And that meant more to me than winning the "Best Dressed Contest", to be honest.

I love you, my dear little Fluffy baby!! ♥

Was pleasantly surprised by the reactions from those who saw her.. Haha!

So many people wanted to take photos of her!

She was like a little celebrity!

Fluffy's Supper

She was outta her cage and roaming in my room happily.
Called her over to feed her some carrots..
But this little rascal (haha!) simply refused to come to me.

Decided to try an experiment!

Put 3 slices of the carrots on my bed and left my room for a couple of minutes..
Just to see if she will 'steal' them while I was away.

Sure enough, there were only 2 slices of carrots on my bed and Fluffy was hidding at a corner..
Munching on a piece of carrot! Haha! What an adorable and smart little rascal!

Eat well and be healthy, okay! We must live together for many more years to come! :)

Oh my! She grows up so fast!

Although she is not a tiny little baby anymore, I still love her loads! ♥

Fluffy's Room.. Upgraded! ♥

Finally went to buy a litter pan for Fluffy last Sunday!

My only regret? Why did I buy it earlier!!

Also bought a new food bowl and dry bath shampoo for her~:)

Washed her cage thoroughly and fixed her new "furniture"!

The Toilet

Wondered if she would know how to use the toilet.. So I kept nagging at her! Haha!

Checked on her after a few hours and..

WOW, she really used it!!!

Felt so good to see the cage so neat even a few hours later! ♥

See, it used to be so messy!

Feels strangely satisfying whenever I see her upgraded room now! ♥

Oh, my Fluffy..!

Was brushing Fluffy when I noticed that the area around her right eye was a bit 'botak' (bare).

Found some dried up mucus there. Upon closer inspection, it was a bit red and swollen!

After cleaning it up, it was much better.. :)

Was trying to look for some relevant articles and I found this!

Huh, so serious? Isn't mucus something common??

Hmm. Mucus.. Considered eye discharge? No? Yes? I hope not!

But anyway..

Rabbits are more fragile than I realized!

Her right eye seem okay after I've cleaned up and removed the dried up mucus.

Will monitor and see how it goes!

Hope she's okay!

Fluffy's New Cage Is Here!

At last! ♥

If only the actual color is in this shade of pink.. Heh!

But okay lah, at least it's still pink! ♥

Was so worried at work and keep wondering if Fluffy's okay at home alone!

Plus so tired as I didn't sleep well!

This morning I had kept the fan on for her.

Pointed it towards my bed since she always prefers my bed over her box.

Rushed home after work and braced myself before opening my room door..

Fearing the worst. (Just in case, haha!)

And there she was.

Lying like a royal princess on my bed and right in front of the fan!

Haha, thank God that she's a smart bunny! ♥

(Didn't have the chance to snap a photo though! Haha!) 

Fortunately, I don't have to worry like anymore because I finally found a nice cage for her!
