How Did Time Pass So Fast!

 Totally forgot about this blog until I received the email from Sample Store. My last post was about CNY in February... And whoa, it's already mid August now! Half year passed by just like that!

Just a quick recap...

Mar

Bought new phone... iPhone 11 Pro! Thank you iPhone 6S. You have served me well all these years.

Apr

The COVID-19 situation got so bad that the Circuit Breaker (CB) was activated and we had to work from home. The good thing about it was, I'm blessed with a good company who cares for our welfare... Took steps to ensure our good health and safety as well as not cutting our salaries. Phew! And it was nice to be able to work at home with Zai and Fluffy by my side.

Chanced upon Feng Jiu. She's a beautiful fox carved using red rutilated quartz. I named her after the character from "Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms". She sparked my interest in Nine-Tail Fox. Spent a lot of money. *Cough cough* But I now have a cool collection which I love a lot! And my foxes did seem to bring some positive changes to my life. Even Gean commented that my vibes seem changed (in a better way).

Back to office! Partially. Was so excited to see my colleagues again! Miss them loads! But as we haven't come out with a vaccine for COVID-19 yet, we are still working from home most of the time.

Alfred started this 21 Days of  Abundance Program. It was fun! And it got me back onto the journey to discovering my spirituality as applying Laws of Attraction in my everyday life.

Happy birthday, Cookie! Always in my heart and never will be forgotten. Miss you, my darling angel baby!

GE 2020... No surprise for AMK. As usual, FB was full of nasty posts. (Every time. Buay sianz meh.) Not interested in politics, so ya. :)

Bought a new pair of spectacles! Like, finally. *Laughs!* Had a severe eye infection suddenly in the middle of the night and scared me half to death. Luckily my eye is okay now. Wearing spectacles and staying away from contact lenses for the time being. (Also partly because I'm lazy to doll up. LOL.)

Happy birthday, Singapore! Majulah Singapura! Was surprised to see the fireworks from my house. Later I read from the news that they actually arranged for fireworks at 10 different locations this year! Whoa!

It's also the birthday month for Zai! Right after his birthday, I brought him to Dr Gino for dental appointment. AT LAST. Costed me about $500 but everything went smoothly. Thank God! Zai is in great health and only need to extract 2 teeth. His teeth are not black anymore! Yay!

Feeling so blessed that my life is getting better and better! I have so much to be thankful for; everyday has been so joyful! Shall end this entry with the quote below... Blessed be!

大年初一

Supposed to go temple with my mum but I didn't feel too well and ended up sleeping until afternoon.

 

 

After some consideration, I decided to give it a miss this year. Feeling unwell + the Wuhan virus is circulating... Better not take any risk.

 

Didn't have to work yesterday. But oh my! Didn't do any CNY-ish things these 2 days! How did time pass by so fast? :O

 

But okay lah, at least I had a good rest. :)

Financial Goal for 2020!

Since I've started on my new job and gotten a higher salary (increase a bit only lah, heehee), it's time for me to start saving money again!

TARGET: Save at least $5,000 by Sep (my birthday)!

1st Day of Work... Again!

Reporting for work at SPTel today!

Had been so afraid of oversleeping as I only started work at 9.30am previously... So I decided not to sleep at all!

What a BAD decision...

But I think I still slept a bit. THANK GOD, I managed to wake up in time! But somehow I delayed leaving the house and to play safe, I decided to take a cab instead of waiting for bus 86. Moreover it was starting to drizzle!

And while I was contemplating, I spotted a cab! 

Okay lah, takeeeeee!

Farecab was only $6+. Woohoo!

Pleasantly surprised to see my desk! It's very nice, spacious and it's labelled with my name! There was also a welcome kit and a new yoga mat!

I love it!!!

Later the IT guy came and set up my laptop for me... Brand new laptop and optical mouse! (But I think I gonna bring my own wireless mouse to use at work, haha! Don't like wires.)

Realised that the pantry is very nice!

Jean brought me around and introduced me to everyone. They all seemed friendly and nice! But a bit worried because there are so many of them and I'll be the one bringing new hires to introduce to everyone next time... Hope I can remember the names and departments soon!

Dawn taught me how to do her tasks... So chim! Kinda worried if I can do them well! But I shall just try and see! Hope to stay long in this new company!

Goodbye KFC, Pizza Hut...

Time flies... It's my last day there.

So grateful for them for offering me job (even though it was just a temp) when I was jobless.

Also thankful for being kind to me and I really appreciate them making me feel like I'm part of the team and not just a temp staff.

On my first day of work, Carol added me to their HR WhatsApp group. We had lunch together. When I talked, they listened and responded. They made me feel like I belonged there even though I'm just a temp and will be leaving very soon.

Today is my last day. They told me to keep in touch and they will jio me out for makan. It's funny how I was there for barely a month and yet my relationship with them was much better than my relationship with those at my previous company. 

So blessed to meet kind colleagues after being in a toxic environment for so long!

New Year Resolution...?

That's so true. I stopped making resolutions because they are always what I HOPE to achieve and thought I could achieve but I always give up quickly.

But nonetheless! My resolution is to try harder!

Rather than resolutions, I would say, things that I hope to achieve in 2020. 

And they would be: 

1. Do more good deeds (being kind to people and making more donations)

2. Take better care of health (for me and my boys!)

3. Spend more time and efforts in practising AC

To me, it's just another day. But I've always love public holidays because I don't have to work and still can get paid! Woohoo!

Extra super duper happy today because Gean brought MEI MEI over to find me!

Princessy Hair!

Finally permed my hair after so many years!

Thankfully I didn't have to perm twice this time.

THANK GOD!

But the hairstylist took 2 hours to cut my hair though! And he kept commenting that my hair is VERY OILY. 

Oh my, I need to put in more efforts for my hair...

Body were aching after sitting there to have my hair done for 3.5 hours but I'm happy with the end result!

Boxing Day!

Boxing Day is always the day I open up my Christmas presents.

Coincidentally, today's the day I signed LOA with SPTel! 

The salary and benefits are very good. I just hope that I can do the job well!

Whenever I feel worried, I will try to remind myself this:

On the way home, I was wondering where is the Christmas present that I bought for myself. Just checked the details... It reached Singapore already! And the next moment, I received a sms saying that he will put the parcel in my shoebox. 

OH YEAH!!! 

Whoa, the delivery from Korea is so fast despite Christmas!

I guess Boxing Day is an appropriate day for me to unbox my present!

Feeling so blessed to get such a great deal! 

And it's the newer version with longer battery life!

My present for Zai is...

Took me such a long time to chop the carrots and apples finely and rolling the mixture into balls! 

But it's really yummy so I ended up eating more than half of it... Opps!

Can't blame me, Zai didn't show much interest in them previously. 

After watching me eat them, he suddenly wanted to eat them too. Silly boy!

And of course, I brought him out for a walk again.

Job Offer & Laws of Attraction

Met up with the HR at SPTel and I was pleasantly surprised by the benefits provided for me! Had a chat with the HR about the job scope since we'll be working together. VERY happy to know that the HR roles are pretty well defined at SPTel. They even have staff specialized in answering general HR enquiries so we can just direct employees to them! WOW!

However, the HR Director kept emphasizing to me that this role requires OT. I wonder why... Well I hope it's manageable! At least the pay justifies for the extra hours I need to put in. Heh! So blessed to find a job with a higher salary than my last one despite how bad the job market is nowadays!

I had written repeatedly and pasted one of my notes on my fridge that went something like this...

Before Christmas!!!

Sometimes when I walked past my fridge, I would repeat the words aloud, and tell myself this WILL really happen. And eventually, it really all came true!

It's pretty amazing because I had 3 offers and all were offering me around the salary I was hoping for, in fact, higher! But they were not 100% perfect (eg. company was small, distance was a bit far, have to work 5.5 days, short term contract, etc). So I would finetune my visualisation each time and finally I got the offer from SPTel!

(So please be very specific when you are using the Laws of Attraction!) 

Kinda worried if I can fit well into my new job and how often I would need to do OT...

But never mind, I shall use Laws of Attraction again and be prepared for new challenges!

Solar Eclipse 2019

Was puzzled why Christyne kept spamming photos of eclipse in the group chat. When I left my house, the view outside looked weird. It was kinda gloomy even though it was still very bright.

Saw a lady wearing sunglasses and taking photos of the sun. Looked up and realised the solar eclipse was happening now! 

Saw more people along the way...

They went back home first while my mum, Steffi, Louie and me stayed back to have dinner.

Mum wanted to eat bak kut teh and thankfully, it was yummy!

The kids loved it too. Money well-spent!

Just finished eating when my sis called me and said that they left a luggage behind! 

Quickly ran to find it!!! 

Saw that the luggage was still there but there were 2 security officers and 2 policemen surrounding it... :O

Gave them my particulars and they released the luggage to me. 

PHEW! What an experience... xD

Luckily we decided to go to the airport to look for them and wanted to eat dinner before going home! Otherwise my poor sis would have to make another trip to Changi Airport!

Reached my parents' and sis's houses and distributed the presents to the kids. Glad they love them!

Many months ago, I wouldn't have known that I'll be spending my Christmas in KFC / Pizza Hut HQ this year.

Only worked here as a temp for a few days but yet I received so many presents!

10+ years ago, I'll probably be dolled up nicely and had plans for Christmas celebration after work.

But today I didn't even bother to put my bb cream. Face is totally bare with no hint of makeup at all.

No partying plans definitely... But I do feel excited to go home!

Just being at home makes me feel so happy! Bought a lot of ingredients yesterday. Gonna cook and make treats for Zai and Fluffy! 

Hello Again~

Honestly cannot stand myself for being so fickle minded. Kept jumping from Blogger to WordPress then to Dayre… And well, Dayre is starting to charge fees, WordPress has ads all over my blog, so now I'm back to Blogger again. 😝

Can't believe that my last post here was 1 year plus ago! Just a quick update, I've been staying in my lovely Godsend house for more than a year and I'm still so loving it. Thank God for giving this house to me! And I'm not a blissful aunt of 4 kids anymore... 6! I need to update the photos... Heehee!

It's always interesting to read my old blog entries and recalled the interesting memories that I had forgotten. Also nice to see how I have changed in some ways but remains the same in certain aspects. Will try to post here more often!

Getting Excited!

I'M SO EXCITED!!

Placed deposit for my house. Still have many more things to do but if everything goes well, I will be able to celebrate my birthday at my own house! Woohoo!

My Gui Ren - (Cannot reveal name, else everyone go to the person for help.. LOL!) I really liked the house but I didn't dare to go for it because I was worried about my (lack of) cash. Thankfully, my gui ren offered to lend me cash if I ever need it. But of course, I'm trying to manage my finances VERY carefully so that I don't have to borrow any money. But nonetheless, by having a backup financial help, I finally had the courage to buy the house!

Helen - She was the one who told me that Joanne is a good property agent (SHE IS!), shared many great tips and she's going to help me paint my house! Oh, and she will be giving me a cage for Fluffy and a rack for hanging clothes too!

Joanne - Helping me to get my house! (Not an expert in this but I think it's quite a good deal.) Previously she has been giving me a lot of free advice even though I didn't engage her to be my agent! Honestly I'm hopeless in buying house but she explained so clearly until even I can understand!

Gean - She has been so assuring and encouraging all these while! She's going to help me clean my house and she's going to give me a nice housewarming gift too!

So blessed to know this bunch of (siao) dog lovers. The care and kindness that they have given to me and Zai touch me greatly! 

It's funny how my friends (who are not even related to me by blood) are getting so involved in my purchase of my first and probably only house.. And yet if you noticed by now, I never mention anything about my family..

Will They Come Back..?

Today's Shirley's Baby (a golden retriever) passed on.

Unlike most grieving pawrents, Shirley was very positive.. Perhaps a little too happy?

Well, the reason is, Baby is finally free from suffering and will be reincarnate back to them next year! So happy for her and Baby! I hope Baby will be back as a healthy and adorable dog!

Shirley learnt animal communication and she is able to connect with animals, both alive and dead. Decided to PM her to ask if Cookie or Mocha will come back.. I sure hope they will! At least one of them!

Went to recce the flat that I'm eyeing..

It's nicer as compared to the time when I went to view it for the first time. 

Probably because it was raining when I went there previously.

Plus there were others around so I couldn't feel the vibes (haha!) there.

Isn't the view pretty? ❤

Well, it's facing the road so there are bound to have some noise.

But I'm okay with that noise level. 

Besides, there are 2 bus stops which make it very convenient for me to travel around!

As it turned out, she is staying just beside the unit that I'm planning to get.

So I went to do some online search and found these:

But hmm.. Would it be hard to arrange cauliflowers eh?

So cute! That's rice? Rice is probably much easier to mould the shape hor?

Oooh! This looks like Mei Mei !

(And it seems easier to make? Haha!)

Is it too ambitious to make Mei Mei and Zai 鸳鸯戏水 inside the curry? Heehee!
